Introducing "Tools": Music, Timers, and More

Say hello to your new toolbox

Today you can find in Session the new "Tools" menu, home of cool new stuff for engaging your participants. Here's what you'll find:

Note: Breakouts and Recordings have moved from the three-dot menu to the Tools menu.

Also! Q&A and Polls are coming next, for now — enjoy the first two Tools: Music and Timers.

Did somebody say MUSIC?!

Yes, it's true. You can now play any song inside your Session.

Any song on YouTube, that is.

Simply paste in the link to the video and hit play.

The music will play for everyone.

You control the volume for everyone. So you can make it the main feature of the moment or set it as a background vibe.

Note: YouTube ads do not play in your Session. 😅

Time me, captain

The second widget available in the Tools menu is the Timer.

Set a timer for any time you want, with shortcuts for 3 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins, and 15 mins. An audible countdown begins when time is about to run out! Add time in 1 min intervals.

Customize a room right from your home dashboard

Jump straight into building without going through the event entry steps. You'll enter the live session as before but your camera and audio are automatically off. A win for power users!

Hosts can delete any chat message

A small but important addition to host controls — moderate any chat message and delete instantly if desired.

• Submit companies for early access in #jm-session-early-access.

• Don't mention Session publicly.
